A New Chapter for ABR

Today, we’re excited to share an important update on the ABR token and the road ahead.

It’s been some time since our last major announcement, but significant progress has been made behind the scenes. We are now entering a new era for ABR — one where the token becomes an active and integrated part of the entire Allbridge ecosystem.

Migrating to OFT: Embracing the Cross-Chain Future

First things first, ABR will migrate to the Omnichain Fungible Token (OFT) standard until the end of the year — a key step in aligning with our plans.

By adopting OFT, we’re enabling a transparent, unified token supply across all supported blockchains. This migration will be powered by LayerZero, a leading protocol for secure and decentralized cross-chain messaging.

Putting ABR back into Allbridge Core

The OFT migration is more than a technical upgrade — it unlocks a new, practical use case for ABR.

Once migrated, ABR will be used to pay fees within the Allbridge Core ecosystem. This represents a fundamental shift in how the token functions, creating sustained, protocol-driven demand and cementing its role at the heart of Allbridge Core operations.

What Comes Next

The OFT transition and ABR’s new utility within Core form the foundation of its long-term transformation. This evolution is already underway, and we’re building each part of it with a focus on transparency, value, and resilience.

We are fully committed to delivering lasting utility for ABR holders. Thank you to our community — your continued support powers our momentum. The next chapter has begun — and we’re here to lead it.
